I've been distinctly unimpressed by the attitude to freedom of religion demonstrated by the Greek Orthodox church here and here nor by the casual mention in some of the other stories that all religions except Christianity, Judaism and Islam are banned in Greece. This seems to be a prima facie breach of the European Convention on Human Rights.
I am not a believer of any kind, and I note that some sinister right-wing crazies are taking up Greek paganism as they have the Norse kind, but the belief on the part of some Christians that they are entitled to ban other expressions of religious belief strikes me as deeply objectionable.
Talking to paratti, we devised a reality show called 'Oh My God' in which participants had to invent their own religion, practice its rituals and preach it on the streets of a major city, and see if they could convert anyone. Probably not a good idea since there are too many religions already.
