Strange Perspectives

One point I forgot to make about watching films with massive amounts of CGI in them is that afterwards when I am in the street, it always feels as real things are more real, so real in fact that they look fake. Leaves are extra green, high buildings loom more, people seen at a distance move jerkily. Perspectives go weird on me in a way that is a bit like the early stages of a migraine, a bit like the way things were the time that someone spiked my drink and I found myself tripping in a History of the Language seminar. Frankly, I prefer full-on animation, whether done by hand or computer; the snow and water effects in Mulan were a better reality, while the landscapes in FF just look like a naff computer game.
