Given that people are not going to be banned from conventions, or significantly shunned; given that under the shouting and daft threats and wrong actions and endless accusations of bad faith and acts of bad faith; given that people are threatening each other, or silencing themselves for fear of consequences from people who may be tempted to abuse power, but probably mostly won't; given that most of the remedies proposed, from TOS wars to consumer boycotts are liable to produce a decade of toxicity- what we have is vastly more cluelessness than malice, vastly more idiocy than bigotry, we need to find ways forward.This
