The thing is - you just don't know what to say.

I watched hundreds of people die live on camera and I did not know what to say. Except to swear and cry for a second and think in horror about what this probably means for us all for the rest of our lives. I still don't know that all my friends are safe and I am fairly sure that this is only going to be the opening salvo of a war that may yet kill a lot of people, all of whom matter whether I know them or not.

It reminded me of why I was a pacifist when I was young, and of why I turned against that position. I cannot stand the thoughts of dead bleeding bodies and I want there to be justice in the world, justice for everybody, not just for the people I care about personally - and I suppose that brings me back, not to pacifism, but to a feeling that no-one, no-one, ought ever to die as a way of making a point.

And that means no revenge. It means arrest and trial and imprisonment of the people who ordered this done. It means justice.
